New direct long-haul destinations and additional departures on existing routes mean more travel options than ever for travelers.
With three new routes planned to the US, being a Scandinavian traveler – as well as a traveler to Scandinavia – gets better and better. Beginning in 2016, SAS will offer direct routes to Los Angeles and Miami and increase the number of departures to other select routes.
Simon Hansen, VP of Network and Partnerships at SAS, says “Los Angeles and Miami are two of the most in-demand US cities for Scandinavian travelers. Both Southern California and Florida have strong leisure travel markets and are thriving business centers with important economic growth.”
The first flight from Stockholm to Los Angeles will leave on March 14, 2016 with daily departures throughout the summer and five to six weekly departures during the winter. In the fall of 2016, SAS will offer departures to Miami from Oslo and Copenhagen.
SAS is also increasing the number of departures from Stockholm to New York and Chicago, Oslo to New York, and Copenhagen to Shanghai. This means that in 2016, SAS will offer more than 330,000 additional seats on its intercontinental routes – giving Scandinavian travelers ever more options.
