SAS shows off its design moves in Milan

Following its hugely successful long haul cabin redesign, SAS joined other well-known Swedish design-related brands at the Salone del Mobile in Milan this April.

SAS Design Manager Kristine Mayer says, “As the team responsible for the cabin redesign, it was a huge honor to be asked to participate at Salone del Mobile. It’s proof that the design work our team has undertaken is delivering at a high level.”

For the past several years SAS has increasingly worked with user-focused design, in order to increase customer satisfaction. The color scheme and materials have been chosen to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere while a number of functional upgrades, including new seats in SAS Business, have made passengers’ travel experience infinitely more enjoyable.

“The new design has been highly appreciated both internally and externally, and it’s very much due to that work that SAS was invited to participate in the fair,” says Mayer.

At the fair SAS displayed its new business seats, as well as images illustrating a number of other touch points, such as Fast Track, the new SAS Lounges, and various service points.
